Client’s old website has become tricky to use and lacked some functionality needed as the company evolved. They wished to differentiate the experience between the main user groups: the students and the teachers that shop for wood products. KMS Joinery were happy with their existing branding and colour scheme, but required a new website with some much needed UX improvements.

A new website has been designed using a Dmac Media eCommerce+ CMS v3. Along with a standard ecommerce checkout dedicated to individual students and hobbyists, an option to create a quote has been added to allow a slightly different ordering method for school teachers. The use of stock images and a bright accent colour makes the new website light and sleek, while complimenting the original branding. The product search is now prominently displayed along with quick access to a quote, user account and cart. Some vital information about a dedicated delivery for large orders, available discounts and calls to action were placed above the fold in order to increase the conversions. The products have been re-organised within the categories making the site more intuitional and products themself - easier to find. The new site ensures all of the information is now easily accessible across all devices and the shopping experience is much easier for both: students and woodwork teachers.
