Irish Angus
The Irish Angus Cattle Society was established in 1967, with the primary objective of developing, promoting and improving the breed of Irish Angus cattle in Ireland. The Society has been responsible for the improvement and consequential revival of the breed as it faced down the challenge of imported continental beef breeds. Irish Angus is now firmly established as a top beef breed in Ireland and quality pedigree Angus stock are again in demand from both commercial farmers and pedigree breeders at home and abroad.
The Brief
Dmac was asked to redesign and improve the client's old website. It had become difficult to use and view on responsive devices and was in need of updating. The new site would demonstrate an improved flow, host a number of pertinent articles and photographs and present the society's information in a clear and intuitive way.
What We Did
Initially Dmac Media focused on reviewing the sitemap and designing a more organised website with unique and new content and with an improvement in the overall flow and navigation. The new design was heavily influenced by the clients logo and the designers made sure the colour palette and all elements of the website complimented the society's branding. A Dmac CMS v4 platform allowed us to build an easy to maintain website that features a large number of landing pages, that makes searching the society and the Irish Angus breed, a breeze. Articles have been transferred from the old website along with loads of resources and their very own cattle Hall of Fame. A custom sticky element has been added to display the current Letter of the Year and a number of call to action buttons have also been added. This resulted in a modern, bright website that showcases the society and this wonderful cattle breed clearly.
